After some practicing today (was the first real day I actually used the thing) I decided that I wanted an adapterless LPR, but I didn't want to pay that big jerk Edwin for one of his shiney new ones. So I made one myself. :)

I'm still learning all of the little tweaks of the lathe and how to operate it correctly. No matter what, once you take something out of the chuck, you've lost all centering you once had. Learn that lesson fairly quickly. Oh well, more to come for sure (hopefully).

(JK Edwin, much love ;))

What a loser......

Fuck you Andy!!!

P.S. You will need a little relief on those threads right by the o-ring or that oring will not seal. I think about 0.100" is what I use.

Yep, it will need a thread relief and I cut the o-ring grooves a bit too shallow - tends to slice o-rings when you install it. I will try round two on another sledge soon enough and correct the problems found on this one. However, the o-ring near the end does make a seal (aired it up on a maker) and the lpr outputs at 95 psi so at least I'm doing something right. :)

Your oring grooves need to be 0.080" wide, and the depth should be 0.625"

Most paintball stuff I see use 0.070 or smaller, and that actually compresses the oring. I think oring specs call out 0.090, but 0.080 always worked fine for me.

Post some pics of your set up when you get a chance.

Ahh yes, I think I made the grooves a little too small then. Something like 0.075" wide by 0.055" deep. I'll get some pics of the lathe and remodeled shop tonight posted later tonight.

Yep, was a sledge that needed a facelift. I picked up a few more at the local pb store today and am going to try a few more runs.
