I'm running a stock Mephy 2.2 double trigger, and a 3000 psi tank
i took the hole gun apart, rebuilt it and the stock reg. put it all back together and gasses it up, worked fine but air leaked out the front, i think from the AOC cap, maybe barrel too..... so i degassed it, and installed the gauge in the front to see what my pressures were at, so i installed the gauge and gassed it back up, no air leaked out any were and it worked fine, shot great, but the gauge read 150 PSI !!! too high right???
OK so from the directions i have, it says if pressures are too high, turn the adjustment screw on the AOC CLOCKWISE so i took it apart and i can't turn it CLOCKWISE any more, its all the way in, so i cannot decrease pressure.
What do i need to do hear? any help would be great, thank you

Did you make sure you loosened the set screw? They have enough leeway that you can adjust them all the way down to 0 psi if you wanted.

And it might be leaking out of the aoc cap b/c of a bad o-ring. check/lube that as well.

I'd say Warped probably addressed your prob. The stock AOC's are usable but not always stable or consistant. I would highly suggest getting an aftermarket LPR set-up. ie; there is the ASP adapter & lpr which allows you to use all Cocker style lpr's. There's Edwin's LPRC, internal lpr & a combination of LPC w/ Cocker style lpr used on the ASA. You may also be lucky enough to run across an old Mac Dev Tribal lpr.

I have about 4 MAcdev LPRs for Tribals----if interested.

There's always interest, however for performance sake I go with your LPRC or internal LPR over the MacDev.
BTW Edwin what do you have in stock as far as "no rise" clamping feed necks?

Edwin? have a link to your site? or could you help me out here, i'd like to replace the AOC but keep the stock reg. for now, what are my options? i'd like to get something from you, probly the internal lprc or LPC
AS for the stock AOC there is a set srcew and then there is the flat head screw that is under the spring, do i loosen the set screw and then adjust the flat head screw to adjust pressures? thanks maybe i miss understood the directions
thanks guys

www.tribal-paintball.com Click Edwin's components under the picture on the main page.
Edwin founded this site... guess you have yet to figure that out.
And yes. your supposed to loosen the setscrew first.

so i'm adjusting, i loosen the set screw and move the adjuster in small increments, but it seems everytime i gas it up it reads high, then slowly bleed off and levels off, should i let it bleed and level off and take that reading or should the reading be pretty much instant?
Also if i cycle it the psi will drop
say i gas it up and it levels at 120 psi if i cycle the trigger the psi drops and only recharges to 70 psi.......
what is going on
any help would be great
thanks guys

Thats the beautiful stock AOC at work there for you. Best bet would be to purchase an aftermarket LPR of some type and toss the AOC for good. It will save you headaches now and later on down the road.

thaks i'll try that first and if that doesn't work how wants to tune this baby for me? haha
Something from Edwin is what i've heard is best
Aslo, why when i have the gauge in the front and test it everything works fine no leaks, but when the end cap is in, and i gas it up to see how it shoots, it leak out from the ASA to body o-ring? not as much pressure there when the gauge is in? thanks guys

I just looked at Edwins site
the Internal low pressure regular says it requires some drilling and tapping
what exactly is drilled and tapped?
and the other says no modifications needed
the low pressure regulator and chamber LPRC but it costs more
and opinions on what i should do?
send it to edwin and have him install one and tune it for me and pay him?
or what?

As for the AOC cap leaking.. make sure the oring on there is good. replace it anyway. put a small piece of teflon tape under the oring so the oring lifts up and gives a better seal. try putting teflon on the threads of the cap as well. it can't hurt.
And as for the TILPR needing some mod done, I didnt think there was a modification needed, but I guess Edwin didnt put it on there if it wasnt needed.. so I'd say just PM him about it, or just wait until someone smart gets on here and posts.. ;)

I think you need to plug the atmospheric vent on the underside of the body (hidden by the ASA) that was there originally for the AOC. 4-40 set screw would be idea, but you could probably get by with something else (small dab of epoxy, etc).

Epoxy?? that's pretty hi-end......
a 3rd quick alternative is ~kaos's~ tourney fix. Get a small piece of teflon tape a plug the booger. The pressure pushing outward forms a nice seal against the inner flatside of the ASA.
Maybe for your first time you should get one of the MacDev's Edwin has. No holes to plug or tap. Probably already broken in and they're easy to adjust.
