it sounds like it is coming from somewhere around the pneumatic cylider, i took it to a paintball shop, but they couldn't find the leak. you know where i could get a tool kit? i heard its similar to an angel tool kit.

The 2 prong tool is the same as the ones in the Angel tool kit. You can get a beefier 2 prong tool here: http://www.airsoldier.com/cgi-bin/miva?Merchant2/merchant.mvc+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AOS&Product_Code=ASP2PRONG&Category_Code=TRIBALACCESSORIES

You can just use a 10-32 screw to remove the AOC plunger and an allen wrench to remove the AOC body. You will have to scrounge and find a gauge body if you want to gauge the stock AOC, or scrounge even harder and find a MadDev ram tester.

also if you did not want to buy one of the 2 prong tools,.... just use needle nose pliers to unscrew the cap.

be careful not to slip and scratch it all up

but be careful not to slip and scratch it all up

Please. The Tribal world is small enough. we need to keep as many in tact and in good condition as possible!! :WinkBlue:

If Edwin has the threading to use his LPRC and etc in the tribal front end, why cant you guys just fabricate a encap with those threads and tap it and attach a 0-150 psi guage?

Also when are you guys gonna design a replacement ram? or are there direct swaps for the tribal ram?

And Ed outta all your prods for the AOC fix, which do you consider the best?

Also when are you guys gonna design a replacement ram? or are there direct swaps for the tribal ram?Time/Money. The tribal world isnt quite big enough for these guys to produce hundreds of rams(quantity for price), but some of the tribesmen are probably working on it.

And Ed outta all your prods for the AOC fix, which do you consider the best?Personally, the ITLPRC(for $115).

Answers in bold.

there is such a gauge........seeing how a pic is worth a thousand words.
ram gauge ...left aoc gauge.... right

looks like cdarnell and edwin are on the right track already on this idea(ram) i believe they were looking into it or something.

as far as the aoc fix..... you got to replace it because its junk. you have four options.

option 1 ...... edwins lprc (this is one of his prototypes)
http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL818/2922435/5901666/127459170.jpg
option 2 ..... edwins tilpr
http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL818/2922435/5901666/127459172.jpg
option 3 .....edwins lpc with the lpr mounted on the asa
http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL818/2922435/5901666/127459179.jpg
option 4 ....blues lpr adapter with any autococker threaded lpr
http://www.airsoldier.com/Merchant2/graphics/00000001/gen5lpradapter.jpg
with a lpr on it for a example
http://pic17.picturetrail.com/VOL818/2922435/5901666/127459177.jpg

its just my opinion but i like option 4 ....... why ? .... i like the aka and the palmer regs.
as far as the other options ...... i have to support my peeps in the tribe so i have all of the above.
not to say one is better than the other...... cheapest way = tilpr

misconception about gauges for the tribal is,... for the majority of the time you dont need them. its all about your methods.

1) put on a hpr that is around 200-250 give or take ...... have the lpr all the way down
2) you turn the air on and slowly start adjusting the lpr up... shooting 2 times till you get the lpr to cyle the gun relibly.... then give it a quarter turn. your lpr should be cool
3) adjust hpr over a chrono to your desired fps.......
4) set it down for ten minutes or so with air and everything on ..... not the tronics itself just leave the gun aired up
5) after the ten minutes shoot again..... if you get first shot drop off ...... adjust the lpr another quarter turn and then your set.
6) re-chrono and set your hpr according to what fps you want......as adjusting the lpr will raise or lower your velocity somewhat.

after that you should be good....... now with a aoc you got to have gauges but, as in another thread that should be the first thing you change anyways.
too many people want pretty grips, feednecks, valves, bolts, and boards....... you get good regs first then worry about all that other.
will they set you back because they are more expensive.... yes sir..... just like a car you take care of the engine and transmission first.
your gun in a way should be treated in the same manner .... at least in my opinion thats the way it should be.

hope that helps you out a little ....... i believe i learned most of this from me262 or tracker i cant remember which..... i know it helped me out alot .

i just took my whole gun apart and finally found the leak thats been haunting me forever, it was leaking our of the vent-like holes in the frame outside of where the ram is, i took the electrical componet off thats attached to the frame but is inside the grip frame and there is black seal with about 6 holes in it, not sure what those holes do, but i just tightened everything back down really hard and the leak stopped(wish i had a picture). makes me feel good that i brought it to the best paintball airsmith in connecticut and they couldn't figure it out in a month.

thanks to everyone who replied to my posts, it really helped me out

I know this is an old thread but I am an old guy (42) and I have replaced aoc with Edwin's LPRC and wonder if those vent holes at noid blow out air on each shot? I can't remember if they did before I switched. It cycles fine but I have not put paint thru it yet. I was reading the thread to set up new LPRC!

Yes, they release air with every shot, they are the exhaust passages for the noid. And thanks, I thought I was old but realize now that I'm just a young pup! :TooFunny: (38 btw)
