Confused about break beam and photo eyes!

OK, I went to the ASP site and they have the fury chip, which I now have in my tribal. IT says that the Omron photo eyes are compatible with it, but I bought and ACE kit too, so which is better? Is the photo eye supposed to mate to the ACE board in place of the Break Beam diodes? I am very confused, some kind soul please educate me!

Also, my solenoid will stop firing sometimes when I am firing, sometimes it wont fire at all then I take the battery out and replug it in, and then it works for a few seconds then quits again, Is this just a bad battery? or is my solenoid fudged? I tried the battery in my revvy, and the revvy went fine for like 5 min,(thats when I got tired of listening to the whirring and turned it off)

the ace kit that you have is break beam.... it can read all sorts of paint. the photo-eye cant read dark paint most of the time.
so the bbe is better


1) jiggle around the noid wire to see if there is a short somewhere....could be at the connectors to the noid itself or the board.
2) also make sure you have a small piece of plastic and or electrical tape ,.... in between the electronics and the bottom of the body where the valve retaining screw is as this could make it ground out. :Cry2:
3) make sure the trigger screw is hitting the microswitch to engage the noid ....... there could be a bad connection there as i had my screw backing out on me every now and again.
4) check the connections on the battery connectors itself ..... on the board and on the piece that hooks to the battery. could be a simple as a loose wire on the pad.

hope that helps...... i think i covered everything ....... im sure one of the electronic elders might remember something that i missed . :NahNah:
but i think those are the big 4 to check out first......then check the expensive or more technical parts.....noid and little parts on the board resistors and such. :confuse3:

cool thanks, so the ACE kit works with the fury board then. Also is there anyboard for the tribal that can shoot above 25 BPS yet??

someone had a matrix board run into a tribal on a vid I saw, would that provide that kind of firepower?

PS anyone remember the tippman Battle wagon thig, it was like a dune buggy with a chaingun and loads of M98's on it, the chain gun boasted 60 BPS, now thats firepower!

yes,.. the ace kit will work with the fury.

go to www.airsoldier.com and email blue .... he makes a warlord specifically for the tribal.
it will boost you up to 24-26 bps..... now there is minor milling involved you might could do it yourself. ive had warped do all my stuff personally.

stock = 13-15 bps
stock with fury = 20bps
warlord = 24-26 bps
chaos = you can push it till the noid falls off
morlock = you can push it till the noid falls off
matrix = i would imagine you could do the same (never had it in a gun myself)

also on a side note....... the noid maxes out at i believe 24 so anything more would be a little overkill..... but with speed it will come down to the cash

how much you spend.... will determine how fast your gonna go
