i got my first tribal in and ive been tinkering with it and learning all their is about it. i looked at the owners manual and it says to adjust the velocity by turning the vertical regulator screw. what if an aftermarket reg is installed? do i just adjust the pressure of the new reg to adjust my velocity?
*sigh* ive been playing paintball for 14 years and i feel like a newbie all over again. almost brings a tear to my eye

yeah man, you adjust the velocity through the inline regulator, although i have found that dwell and LPR changes also affect the velocity, essentially get your gun working great on the LPR side, so your running low pressure but not experiencing shootdown, then adjust the Inline reg, small turns and that should controll the FPS. then go kick some ass

Oh BTW did you ebay tribal have a double trigger frame? cause it would be easier for you to swap that onto the tribal I sent you than to get a BKO tub.

Most are adjustable (stock cocker regs are internally adjustable) via a screw, but you've got to distinguish between the adjustment screw and a guage port some times. Screwing in the adjust screw can sometimes raise the pressure, or lower it, so figure out which was your particular reg is. Or if you're like me, test it in little increments haha.
While setting your hpr, you also have to worry about setting you lpr, which I believe there is a thread on setting the regs up on a tribal. The hpr doesn't matter as they all do the same thing, regulate the incoming air from the tank.
