So The ASP Ram Buffer, is it a good idea?

is it an o-ring?

will it work WELL with edwin's ram spring?

Thanks,

-Sporkie

good idea as sometimes that hard clacking sound is the ram hitting the back shaft...... downside to them is (rare cases) soimetimes it will leave the bolt farther into the breech than normal.

yes..... it is a oring

i have ram springs in all of my guns ...... they work just fine with them.

Really, so what size oring would be best for it?

any special mods needed? any tips?

Do you think it would be smart to use both the spring and the buffer together?

the gun was designed with a dampner to begin with, its just most the time they are missing.

so its not a "upgrade" as somthing that should be there to begin with.

oring size will differ from gun to gun a 010 70, 108 70, 202 70 are the orings that you will recieve...... you use the thickest oring that doesnt allow the bolt to stick in the breech when retracted.
take the ram out and remove the hammer from the ram shaft (strap wrench).....careful not to scar the shaft itself.
you will also have a valve dampner as well as the orings... this goes between the valve and the valve retaining pin.

as far as the spring and the buffer....thats your call..... some i have it with both pieces, others i have no need for both so i have one or the other.

The plastic part for the valve is a great idea for stock type valves but it won't work on the Rocket Valve (well you have to glue it somehow).
