Haveblue referred Goldie to me for help with a new line of Chaos based boards, and I accepted. So it looks like I might be getting my hands on some of the new Chaos 2k6 boards for sale. The new 2k6 boards are approximately 1/2" x 1 1/2" so integration into a Tribal should be very easy.

It is also possible to make a Tribal Chaos if we wanted it and if the demand is there. Chaos' will be readily available so I am not sure what the demand will be for a Chaos based Tribal.

Let me know if you guys are interested.

I vote for just the 2k6 Chaos board. No need for a Tribal specific board if the regular 2k6 ones will fit just fine. Also is he taking in any suggestions for changing the board from the 2k4 model? I have some hardware as well as software suggestions...

Well hardware is done, but I would think he is open to software as that can change on the fly.

The freestyle will be the next board, as far as I know, maybe he will want to make a hardware change on that....what hardware change did you have in mind?

Was just wanting to see if he could use a different MOSFET that had a higher output draw or something that would allow it to run higher current draw solenoids - like a Morlock can.

Software wise I was thinking that the option to be able to switch between PSP ramping and the standard modes without using a V-link would be nice. Somehow just build it into one of the programming banks.

Sounds tight(the new boards).. Have you any idea what price range they'll be at? $150ish?

They are on sale right now for $99ish, but if the Tribe members are going to buy then please buy from me, as part of my payment was in boards.

Warped...you should be fine with the new board in regards to the noid mosfet, as it is 1.6amps continuous and 10A pulsed. The board traces from the noid mosfet can handle 1.0 amps continuous as the traces from the mosfet are 0.030" wide. I am not sure what the pulsed current specs are for traces, but I am pretty confident that it will give you all the current you need for paintball noids---even sear trippers.

Oh I am pretty sure he is expecting the boards in this coming week. I bet he will be shipping the backlog of pre orders next week or the following.

Waiting to see how this unfolds. Right now, I'm trying to rebuild a BBT that I bought in a butchered state. Slowly buying parts for it. I noticed that the boards were sealed with hot glue and silicone. :Punch: As I started to peel the crap off the board, I saw the flimsy wires shorted out on the switch and the wire on the battery pack FUBAR'd. Looking forward to see what this new board can do. Would like to go to the field having an Old School marker competing w/ high end markers and dusting them off, while I laugh inside. When they see that they just been owned by an Old School, it's priceless.

I've even gone out there with a wrist rocket, and gogged a few. Its all about cover and concealment.

:ahah:

Sounds interesting...Thanks for the parts! Getting the dinosaur back to life. What parameters does this board have. My marker is a bit of an air hog LOL. Now if I can get a good, er Great HPR and a decent board, You can bet your bippy, I plan on competing it with the high priced puppies, only to see their faces when an old school marker shows them up ROTF
