wierd mephisto

ok so me and my brother finally took apart his mephisto yesterday and found the internals were done in crome, and the valve assembly has a mass of parts i have never seen before in any of my other tribals , there were 4 parts plus the aoc cap plus 3 different springs. any one have any idea why this would be in thiere
