The torch has been handed to me by Craig and I am going to start making Tribal adapter tubs. I will have them available for the same model frames as he had, Bushmaster, Angel, Matrix, Impulse and whatever frames you guys want to slap on. Question is, is there any sort of special design or style that you guys would want, or are the ones just like Craig made fine with you all? I will have them available in anodized colors as well to match.

just a question but is there any way to make the tubs shorter, cause the tubs kinda make the whole gun look reallllly tall? i figure they are made as small as possible for all the elctronics to fit.

The solenoid is really the determining factor. With some of the Bushmaster frames you might be able to make the tub a little less tall and the solenoid hang down into the frame. But with other frames, you can't have the solenoid extend past the tub any or it hits the frame. I will have to look at some frames and see whats do-able and whats not.

cool whats the price on the tubs?

when you say matrix frame do you mean only the dm3 version frame? or would u make tubs for say dm5 frames also?

Price will be the same as what Craig was charging - $35 including shipping.

I can make versions for the older style Matrices and for the new DM series - just need to know the hole spacing and other accomodations.

can you do frames for the new style speed frames and also a frame milled like tyhe addicted that fits the otb frame

A fluster tub would be cool as in mill the tub like the fluster fram to match the body milling.

Yep, I've been considering milling some to match the existing tub part of the frame on the models like the Addicted and Fluster.

I can make them for whatever style frame you'd like - just need to know the spacing and any other accomodations.

Ok, finally got some renderings of a Bushy version tub. I chose to do the fastening on the front grip hole a little differently just 'cause. The hole in the rear of the Bushy frame will have to be drilled out in order for it to fit though - no biggie. Here are some pics, let me know what you think or what you would like changed.

i think that rounded front will look wierd, i think it would look better if it had a step up like the stock tribal frames have right before the trigger guard

hey there......what kind of noid does the Tribal use?
what does the manifold look like?

maybe if you make a new manifold the tray could become a thinner plate?
this is what has been done with the B2K trayless kit

Tribal uses a Skinner/Parker K4H series, like the B2K did. There is no manifold on Tribals though. Yeah, I've seen the trayless kits, but haven't come up with a good solution for them to work on a Tribal, yet.

Anyone else have any input on the design of the Tribal tubs? I need to know what people like and want before I make them.

I dunno if its feasible or anything, but it would be kinda cool, in the Mephisto case, if the milling were continued onto the tub too, but I dunno if that would cause way too many problems or what...

I don't think that it would be to hard with Warp's CNC milling machine, but I'm not him.

Question for you Warped, do you know how the eyes would work if someone put a UL frame for a Matrix on a tribal?

warpedmephisto
08-26-2006, 11:54 PM
Yeah, wouldn't be that tough, just have to sit down and spec everything out. That takes longer than milling the part 80% of the time.

The eyes would work just the same as they would on the Matrix. The wire routing would be through the front of the tub like routing through the front of the frame on a stock frame.

It would take Matrix eyes correct?

warpedmephisto

Right, you'd use the same eye harness as you would use for the Matrix.

I like it like it is (on CAD anyway).
I like the sloped look, getting away from the boxy, 'tribal' look ;)

Ok, here's revision 2. This is made to fit a Zenetram Bushy frame. The rear tub screw uses a hidden slot in order for a clearance fit for the Bushy rear frame screw. Plus its conceiled so thats uber cool - I can do the same with the front too or leave it as is. What do you all think?

hey guys, theres a surplus of Powerlyte frames for the B2K, there a tad more vert than 45 frames, and use older b2K trigger, but i bet anything could work with some work.....

try ebay or Powerlyte, i just bought 2 for tinkering, hence the name

pump.

Looks good Andy. How about some Eye holes

warpedmephisto
10-09-2006, 11:04 PM
Ok, made one over the course of the past 2 nights. Let me know what you think. Holes/pockets for eye covers and wires isn't a problem - just gotta throw it in the mill and run a program.

It looks good, I am looking for one soon for my BBT and possibly for my Meph

If you could make a tub that would allow me to slap on any Automag grip (Intelliframe, Z-grip, etc.), I would be all over that.

warpedmephisto

I made a Shocker tub adapter the other night. I will have to resize and post some pics of it. Its very short - just 1/4" thick. I had to pocket out the Shocker frame to accept the solenoid, but that was no biggie.

Skwid, The frame would need to be able to accommodate electronics to run the solenoid, but other than that, its just a matter of hole spacing.

Those tub adaptors are really tall. I am sure you can get them smaller. The G1 gripframe Greg makes fits Bushmaster noids and manifolds right into the frame...
