Macro and micro line work the same, you just need to switch out your adapters from micro to macro. Normally I point people to ASP (http://airsoldier.com/) for their macroline needs, but I can't seem to get it to come up here at work, so instead I'll point you to my other favorite online retailer, County Sports (http://www.countysports.com/shop/home.php?cat=269&sort=orderby&sort_direction=0&page=2). (sorry, HB, feel free to post some linkage pimping your line of goods)
Once you've gotten all the macroline connectors, simply remove the old microline connectors, teflon tape the macros (use the white stuff, don't need anything heavier than that), and wrench 'em into the appropriate ports. Then it's as simple as pushing the hose into the connector, and you're golden.

Micro line = teh suck. Horrible flow, thin walls, I don't trust em at all. Just grab a couple macroline fittings (really common, in either 90* or straight, grab what you need) and some macro line, should run no more than $10-13 dollars for the whole shebang.
Don't know about any stores near you, try the yellow pages and call a few places, just try not to get shafted by the stores (they like to jack up the price to make profits off newbies).

Nope, you'll need your own teflon tape, or I prefer blue loctite. Just a drop of the blue let it cure and you'll be set. Teflon tape is kinda messy and get get into the internals and mess with the regulator and ish and cause inconsistancies.

Okay, you shouldn't have to pull off anything. Just push the collar in (not cap) that is around the air line and pull the hose out, no part of the fitting should come off. Not only is it a miracle that it doesn't leak, but it could suddenly fail without warning possibly causing injury. Do yourself a favor and replace the fitting.
