tribal problems..

I just got a tribal..i traded my defiant 2 for it...

red tribal..bbt..double trigger..rocket valve-sonic tribal lpr.

Having so me really bad drop off issues...

Also gun has fury chip. with edwins ace board..
But even with eyes on..im getting dry fires..why is that? so im getting chops when balls fall half way into the breach..

Drop off may be due to a low dwell, or you may need to adjust your lpr or take it apart, clean it, and relube it.


Are your eyes dirty? Are they actually working?

he has the old style tribal macdev sonic lpr......those at high rates of bps get shootdown.
at least my expierence with them has been that

ok i did a little teching myself..The drop off..was due to the set screw on the rocket valve beeing loose...The valve was not opening all the way...i reset the valve..and put the set screw in...

drop off is gone..-

The eyes do work..when i slide the bolt foward the light goes red..indicates there is a ball..But i still get dry fires when shooting over say..7 bps..
Could it be the eye logic?

My viking had the same problem with WAS..then i installed a tadao board..and it cured it...is it time for a new board in this tribal?

If installed properly the ACE board will work properly. You have to remember that the ACE was an economical way to add eyes to your Tribal.

There are much better ways of adding eyes to Tribals. Since your marker is already drilled for eyes, I would suggest just getting another board, since they are soo much cheaper now-a-days.

Hey edwin..i was just asking i mean..Its still 100 times better than no eyes....

Just when i go above 7 bps..i get 2-3 skips in a string of 20 balls...


What would you recomend..That i can use in the tribal..? Choas?

I have two dm5 frames sitting here.one with virtue..one with tadao m5 in it...

If i had a tub made for it..would those electronics work? Or are the dwell settings to different from these two guns?

My tribal is at 14ms right now..my dm5 is set arround 17ms..would this work?



Just another quick question..
Im using either a pulse or eggy two on this gun..
Think the blow foward design is blowing paintballs up the feedneck cuasing it to miss balls?...

Would a halo or vlocity fix the skiped shots you think? let me know

Any of those loaders should be fine. The Tribal is an open bolt electropneumatic - not a blow forward design, so it should have no blowback issues.

The Chaos board works great in Tribals. Those boards in the DM5 frames should have adjustable dwell, right? If so, using them wouldn't be a problem at all - just have to have a tub to adapt the frame, but either me or Edwin could probably whip up one of those no problem.

HOLY SHIT! I've got two DM3's , both have Tadao with dwell at 10ms. I agree with Andy that with the Tadao you will have all the settings necessary to get a Tribal running properly. But I gotta ask... why your dwell on your DM5 is so high?

OK... rule one, don't always assume that the manufacturer (tech) knows what he/she is doing. One reason I say this is because this is the first Matrix I have ever heard of where the Dwell was above 14. And the guy that posted that was told even that was high..... From what I understand 10-12 is considered normal. BUT... there is the 'ol saying, if it ain't broke don't fuck with it.

Iv had my fair share of matrix;s..i had the orignal behive matrix..from diable..before they went gen e..or dye..

i also have a dm3 blue..dm3 silver..FREE flow matrix chrome 1-2..

Im starting to stay away from spoolys..too many o-rings..and when we play winter games here in ny..at 20 degrees..the lube sticks..even hater suace..so i gave up on them
