Be careful when reinstalling everything, if the AOC isn't lined up right when you crank down the ASA screw it'll bite into the AOC and damage it!
Also be sure to read over the Tribal Manual (Left of the Make Donation up top ^^^) if you haven't before!

QFT the manual is the tog members best friend! And as long as you go slow and don't force the asa screw in you'll be fine.

i have the aoc turned almost all the way off and my gun is still leaking between the sylinoid and the body any other suggestions

the seal between the two is brand new and my hpr is almost all the way off too.

06-18-2007, 01:56 AM
Hmm are you sure its not leaking out from your ram area? Did you check all of your ram o-rings? Also if you use a little bit of thread tape and/or dow 55 that will help you get a better seal as well.
Lastly is your noid blown?
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 02:00 AM
it is coming out through the two little milled air release under the noid. and i dont think it is the noid cause it still shoots fine it just leaks a little

you may have some bad o-rings in the noid itself. Did you check that?
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 02:06 AM
no i did not take that apart i figured since the leak was before it and it shoots ok that that was not it
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 02:09 AM
I'd try that and see if it helps. You may not be able to tell by looking at the o-rings if they are bad or not though since the tiniest nick can cause a leak. Id just make sure they are well lubed.
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 02:15 AM

The only other thing i can think of is put small dabs of liquid soap around the area you think the leak is coming from so you can pinpoint the source.

Low Pressure Regulator and Chamber LPRC from edwin what about that do I need it to replace the stock parts and make it work right again
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 02:31 PM
That would work well. Any of edwins aoc alternatives would work good.
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 02:33 PM
I like the LPRC as you just pull out the AOC and put in the LPRC.
Both the TILPR and the LPR Adapter require some sort of mod/extra effort to install.
I like the TILPR, as it is the neatest and it actuall adds more volume than the orginal AOC.
The LPRC is probably the best.
There you go.............
Edwin
06-18-2007, 02:33 PM
I say this a lot and people probably get pissed, but....
You really need a set of gauges to see what pressure your AOC is running at. Leaky noid can be caused by a few things, such as AOC set too high, nicked AOC orings (high pressure into the Low pressure chamber), and/or the noid itself.
If you had a AOC gauge, you can see what pressure the AOC is set to. Then you can start determining what is causing what.
You need the following:
HP Gauge that fits between the vertical HP regulator and the ASA.
LP gauge that replaces the AOC Cap
All Tribal Tools
Pocket Chrony
It is difficult to be a Tribal Airsmith without Tribal tools.
The AOC is usually set pretty accurate and rarely need any adjustment. It is usually something else that cause this problem like bad orings, improperly lubed, or spiking HPR.
Oh yeah --- WELCOME TO THE TRIBE :D

Lol with gas prices where they are now you'd prolly spend more driving there than it would cost to just chuck it the mail for 2 day delivery. Hell being so close it'd prolly only take a day to get it.

06-18-2007, 02:58 PM
Good point on the gauges there Edwin. If using an aftermarket Cocker LPR find yourself a guage that sits in between 2 pieces of LP hose.
Sadly I have all the tools but no air right now (co2)... I live so far out in the boonies it's the only option I have, yet I've never had a problem shooting co2, just have to know what you're doing.

underneath the noid there is the 5 holes in the shape of a box with one in the middle. the air is coming from the one in the middle. (i took the noid off and put a little air to it.) it is coming out of the hole pretty fast. My aoc is turned all the way off to as far as I could turn it. does that mean the lpr has failed?
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 06:25 PM
I'd say its either your lpr, noid, or hpr

Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 07:02 PM
No hp tank wont be the cause of it. I'd say you either have a faulty aoc or a blown noid. If it still leaks when your new lpr and valve get there then its your noid.

I bet your main seal is blown. It may look okay but sometimes you cant tell by eyesight. Id say make sure all your o-rings are well lubed and if that does not work check to see if your piston seat is fitted correctly. If still no go id try getting a rebuilt kit from here:

Your rocket pin could be bent as well. The only thing I can recommend is sending it in to fixmyangel.com or having it fixed at an angel tech. Theres a lot of things that could go wrong. Those were the main things I could think of. I havent had too much experience working on the angel air. Sorry I couldnt be much help.

Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 09:01 PM
Yes fire the marker once and it should seal. Does it?
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 09:02 PM
it did not seal I fired a couple of times but I did not have the pressure up i got it to about 250 do I need to go higher?
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 09:03 PM
Yea itsoubds like you dont have enough pressure to seal the breech/lpr, so it is staying open and leaking down the barrel.
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 09:06 PM
damn still no seal i took it up to 500
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 09:10 PM
Wait u took the hpr up to 500 or the lpr?
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 09:14 PM
It might be your tank pressure. Since you took your angel air apart you prolly need to recalibrate your angel air. Turn up the output pressure on your angel air, firing the marker occasionally to see if it will seal.
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 09:18 PM
the valve is in place cause I got the oin in the bottom and also the pin in the aoc my lp was up to 90. Have some errands to run will be back later
Dances with Tribals
06-18-2007, 09:20 PM
The last thing to check is that your exhaust valve is leaking.
oxygeneater
06-18-2007, 09:20 PM
woooo i did not take the angel air apart was i supposed too the tank pressure is down to 770
Dances with Tribals

Try turning it up a little. then shoot it to reset the valve seal.
Dances with Tribals

And if that does not work then your exhaust valve is broken and should be replaced.
