Looks like I'll be leaving my lake home here in Lubbock and heading for Phoenix. My wife is supposed to start here new job with COKE on 7/16 (from here) and be relocated by the end of July. So we have roughly 38 days to pack-up, move, sell the house here in Lubbock and find a place to stay in Phoenix. That wouldn't be too bad except that I have a few renovations that need completing..... plus a couple other issues. Should be interesting to say the least.

I got a friend who just moved to pheonix from michigan. He likes it, and according to him mexico is 4 hours south, mountains for sking/boarding are 3 hours west and LAS VEGAS is 3 hours north...

I just may move to pheonix.

Yeah..... my lil Bro goes to Rocky Point in Mexico (on the beach) about once a month, sez it's about a 3.5 hour drive. And my daughter, husband & their first expected live in Las Vegas as does my setp sis & her husband.
And it will give me a chance to get my handicap back were it belongs. I used to play 3-4 times a week when I lived in Kansas but have only played twice since moving here to Texas. Plus it will give me an excuse to get a new set 'o stix.

Lol yea i doubt i can acquire anything on the cheap but its worth a shot. Can never have too many clubs. In fact i smoked a ball with my 3 iron today and the head went flying right along with it! :icon_eek::cussing2: :(

Probably the worse thing I ever did was snap the shaft on my 4 iron. Instead of taking an unplayable lie because my ball was almost up against an unstaked tree I decided to try and punch it around the trunk. I followed thru a little too much..... but I did get the ball up towards the green.

Lol I just have some old Mizuno clubs that were passed down to me. They work. I figured i'd wait until I could use those well before I bought a new good set. Im thinking of upgrading sometime this summer.

So you're hitting some 'ol MP blades or something? So i guess you gotta little game...... *lol* My normal stix are my 'ol Titleiest DCI's, I've got a set of 'golds' (offset) & blacks (non-offset). When I was playing alot back in Kansas I used to take my 'ol PGA Ryder Cup forged blades that I played in HS out for a round every couple weeks. Man, I can't believe how small the heads were and that I actually hit 'em that well.

Yea there old blades lol. there kinda beat up.........i mean well used lol. I used to be pretty decent but today was actually ther first time ive played in like 3 years lol. I used to go out to the course almost every weekend. Now that things are calming down im going to try to hit the greens more often!

I hear ya.... I used to play 4-5 times a week in HS & College, almost every day when I was in the Navy and then about 2-3 times a week when I got married. Except for back in Kansas recently.... I played at least 9 almost everyday because I belonged to a club about 2 miles from our house. If I didn't have time to get on the course I'd pound balls on the range for an hour or so, free range, unlimited balls....
I'm gunna try and find a house that backs up to a course or is damn close to one when we buy in Phoenix. Plus I'd like it to have a pool..... if not I'm putting one in!!
