1999 mazda protege
60k miles
AC, CD
no power anything :(
But only....
$1,500
yay, I actually have money to pay for books and parking for college!
Though, the car needs a new battery, new tires, and the check engine light is on. Radio doesn't turn on, and well, not sure everything thats wrong with it. Old guy owned it, but he started getting well..old, wasn't allowed to drive it, so it's been sitting for a few months.
Getting new tires tomorrow, got a new battery and some injector cleaner, and will be checking the codes tomorrow. Hopefully it's just an o2 sensor or something. Will end up doing new plugs, wires, filters, oil, but for now have to get it mobile lol. Whooping 105hp, but it's a DD so who cares.
Liability only... $538 per 6 months, $90/month. Which is very doable. Plus my mom saves over $100/year on her insurance.
Figured I'd share. Such a bitching deal at the right time for me. My cougar is seriously on the way out. Kind of wanting to keep the cougar and slowly fix it incase somebody I know needs a car for school/work, but I'm not really sure if it'd be worth it. Just tempted to sell it right now, but people might need it in the next 9 months which gives me time to fix it and get it ready for them.
Lucked out, figured I'd share.
