so i want to make my next project an egoframed tribal:classicb: anyway
http://www.airsoldier.com:8080/cgi-bin/mivavm?Merchant2/merchant.mvc+Screen=PROD&Store_Code=AOS&Product_Code=MAC-43A-AAA-XXXX-1BA i believe ill be able to use this solinoid if i make a plate with barbs on it to bolt to were the noid foes and dremel out the frame. i believe ill be able to hide that solenoid in the frame.
feedback ?

The basic idea of trying to sub a smaller (and less expensive) noid is great, especially if it will allow for an easy trayless 2x conversion. There is however one thing I saw that you will probably need to research further.... I clicked on the link to the noid and read this passage "(make sure your board can handle the extra current - these take a lot more juice than the half watt Skinners and Humphries used in most guns)." I looked thru the data that was posted with the noid but didn't see any detailed info on the exact power that was needed tho. If it's not too much then it might be a good way to go but if it needs alot of juice to run it then you should lookfor another alternative.

the heaviest draw i belive is 4 watt on those bad boys, very similar to the newer faster humpys or the asco. you would more then likely need to swap boards, an ego board would probobly do the job...If it were me id go with an Ego solenoid or an Asco vented...thats just me tho.

im hoping that the ego board will be able to handle it. ive never actually seen the insides of an ego before so i dont know if i can fit the ego noid in the grip frame with all the hosing i didn't think i would be able to.
edit:that noid barely fits ill have to use 90 degree barbs to fit it but it should fit

so ive desided to do the hole 9 yards and make a new ram,add quevs, mill the body, get an internal lpr (one of the first things on the list, couse i cant stand the aoc's), maybe modify for an ego feedneck, new bolt, new asa and hpr, eyecovers, and a nice barrel.
and to top it all off anno when i can afford it
so my slow project starts now with the purchase of a twister
soon to come tilpr when edwin gets back

Im pretty sure you can use a stock ego 05 noid. Somone put a 05 ego noid and frame on a impulse..the noid bolted right up.. All you might have to do is drill the holes bigger.

Edwin makes the lpr's, bolt, and clamping feednecks will that not work?
I just saw the TILPR thing at the bottom what about the other 2?
