There's two links in the forum header under the menu you can check out. One is the Tribal manual and the other is labeled "Tribal Basics". Otherwise if you have specific questions, there are some very knowledgeable people that come on the forum that can answer them.

Dude...I would take ANY basic Tribal before I even touch the most tricked-out Smart Parts. F.S.P. Welcome to the Tribe! :Hello:

Tribals are late '90's electros - they can perform just like any other electro, but they take a little bit more extra care to keep them in top condition. If the previous owner hasn't done it, the first thing I always recommend is to replace the stock Tribal HPR with just about any other HPR (I prefer WGP Ergo's for their inexpensive price, and resemblance to the stock Tribal reg). Other than that, keep it cleaned, just a wee bit of oil in the ASA every day before and after play, and put white lithium grease on the ram shaft every so often.

Don't worry yourself about it, I didn't know what it was either.
And yes, you can get parts for Tribals here - Edwin's shop is right around the corner (http://www.tribal-paintball.com/products.html) and he has most anything you could ask for. Air Soldier Products also has some Tribal specific things (solenoids (http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AOS&Category_Code=SOLENOIDS), pull pins and eye parts (http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AOS&Category_Code=OTHERACCESSORIES), and various other bits (http://www.airsoldier.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=AOS&Category_Code=TRIBALACCESSORIES)). Other than that, the HPR inline reg is standard ASA threaded, so any decent HPR will go in there, and the barrel is 'cocker threaded, which gives you the widest possible selection of possible barrels in all of paintball.

~ Some long time members also have xtra parts about, don't be afraid to ask.
And I second the claim.... Fuck Smart Parts (the company & lawyers). Sean Scott (formerly of DropZone) of SP is a pretty damn nice guy.

Shifty, you saying you have extras is like saying Iraq has some heat and dryness. That the ocean has some water. That I have sarcasm.
=P
I used to be more up in arms about SP and their wicked ways, but I'm more ambivalent about the whole thing, especially seeing as they've had to cut back on staff recently due to the downturn in the economy. I still won't actively purchase any of their products, but I don't immediately hate on people who use their stuff. You have to admit, they do have some nice stuff.

The the 2 best pieces to start with are probably the HPR and AOC/lpr.....
The original parts weren't exactly of quality design, replacing them definitely improves consistency, reliability & performance.

After the regs, I generally go after bolt, feedneck, and barrel (unless you have one of the coveted "non-penis" stock Tribal barrels). Everything else is generally pretty decent and only truly needs replacement if it comes up broken.

My personal dislike for SP stems from their attack on ICD (and others) regarding the infamous switch issue.... a lot of people I know lost their jobs that didn't need to over nothing but greed. For years I would not buy or own any SP product, as many others did. If I bought a marker that had something SP on it I sold that part. But it's like Usagi said, I don't dislike someone that chooses to use or own something from SP.... I just don't like the fucking company. On the other side of the coin Sean Scott married into the mess.... but he's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet in paintball. He actually took the time to show me how to time a Cocker when he was a tech for DZ in Olathe many years ago. SP is extremely fortunate to have a person like him on board.
Still..... Fuck SP. *lol*

The reason I don't dig SP is their business practices - dominate the market by driving out our competitors through legal means (mostly Cease & Desist letters on vaguely worded patents). Than you look at some of the technology they use that others in the industry have given to paintball without any strings attached - Tippmann made the ASA that everyone uses and Tom Kaye of AGD designed air tanks that everyone uses. Admittedly, Tippmann isn't the company they used to be, and AGD is all but dead, but it wasn't their intention to make ALL the money off their inventions, but to improve the sport. SP on the other hand took this invention (that they didn't even invent) and started using it as a legal threat to push competitors out of the market. Just poor sportsmanship right there.
Anyway, enough about the anti-SP rant - why's the original so good? I don't know. For whatever reason, they shoot really well for a fairly large-bore fixed barrel, and they look really decent. I wouldn't stress about it, as I've liked the CP barrels as well. I generally go for them, Lapcos or J&J's in fixed barrels, and Sanchez Machine and MacDev for the multi-bore, multi-piece barrels.

Ah yes, barrels..... yeah the original 2.2 (non-penis) are actually a decent pipe. They're nothing fancy but shoot well and handle just about any paint I've ever shot. CP is pretty similar, for an inexpensive barrel it shoots pretty well. My favs tho are probably a little dated, one might even surprise you.... J&J stainless, Dye Boomstick w/ss back and the SP All-american. As for kits, I've owned a shitload... even the 'sizer' type. As Usagi pointed out Shanchez makes a pretty nice kit. MacDev's Matchstik is o.k., the Evil Pipe is probably a better choice tho. Still, it's hard to beat a Freak when it comes to bore variety.

I second on the freak kit..... I have a massive one. 4 backs with 17 fronts
