Here is a list of my upgrades for the Mini.
1. Titanium Bolt Pin
2. Custom Bolt to fit this mini only
3. Spring Assisted Ram
4. Titanium Hammer
5. Custom Titanium - Tribal Internal LPR (TILPR) as a normal one will not fit.
6. Custom wired Warlord with Side Switch Control for On/Off and Eyes - No Backplate Controls - as that section is GONE!!!
7. My Shorty (8") Hammerhead Barrel
8. Long Drop
9. MacDev 45/4500 Conquest.
10. Modified Tribal Gas-Thru Grip
11. CCM No-Pro
Possibles:
1. Titanium Hammerhead Fin (I will have to make that myself, as I doubt they would do it for me).
All of this will be a complete gun with a matching Ano Job.
Maybe I will make the TILPR out of aluminum so the Ano will match.
Did I miss anything??????????

You don't need a drop, all they do is hurt your shooting stance. Just use a rail with the conquest, and the 45/4500 should be small enough even if you like drops.
Drops... meh...

No, you will see... somehow... I don't know how to exactly convince you...
Anywho, after seeing your mini, I don't even want to do mine, considering it would blow more than jenna jamerson compared to yours... HmpH! :frown_2::confuse3::confuse2:

Damn, you beat it to me! I just chopped the front off of a Mephisto body and had planned on chopping the rear off as well. I guess we'll have a mini showdown here... :D

Hahaha, I am up for the challange!!!
I know you were thinking about a MINI as I have been talking about Can't MINI ideas!!!

One question:
Where do your electro's go?
Would it have to be a side-switch?
Would it work if i put my electro's in my Angel frame/tub(more a question for Cdarnell- can you do it for me? I'll pm you)
OK so 3 questions.. but i'm curious,, how much would you charge to do a similar milling for my gun?(less cutting-not mini)
And my opinion on asa(drops vs. rails) is if your selling guns, sell them WITHOUT an asa, b/c so many people have different opinions, they would just change it anyway.. It would be a waste of money..

cool, I was thinking about milling off the top tube or something, but I didn't think about cutting off the back plate and lpr area, that's gonna be sooo small!
no all you should do it make a grip frame that could fit the solenoid and electronics in it... modify a clammy or something? that would be the smallest gun ever with out a tray...

Damn it Edwin! That's what I've been working towards on my project Twister!! FUCK!!
*sigh* Can't stay mad at you, Ed bud. =D Okay, everything I'm planning on doing is in there except cutting off the front portion that juts out where the barrel screws in. I'd seen that done by Rich on the Fear Factory site, but I hadn't seen much use for it, not with a protruding LPRC. I'd even gotten in touch with Andy to see if he could do a side-switch mod as well as a Chaos/ACE boardset (answer: yes, yes he can *evil grin*) before deciding to go ahead with the project. Of course, you went a little beyond where I want to go with the cutting and carving. The top tube is about where I want mine to be, but exposing the ram? Nope, I get enough gunk down the pin slot as it is, don't need any more crap in that area, thanks.
Now, I've got some questions: How are you going to attach a tub securely as you've taken the rear frame screw hole completely off? How are you getting LP air back to the 'noid, as you cut that passage out with the removal of the front bit? What tub/frame combo you looking at? Why a gas-thru grip and not another HPR to help your entire air system stay in tight, tight tolerances?

More progress tonight. I chopped off the back so the ram cap is flush with the back of the body. The only problem that I can see myself having is that its all going to be very boxy-like as I only have access to a manual mill. Without investing in some fancy bits, I can't do much else. Our versions of the mini vary a little bit as I will be having a much less expensive LPR combo and I am moving the ASA back and chopping the back of the frame off. Should prove quite interesting!
How did you get the back of the Twister body rounded like that? Grinding on it or with a mill?
Edwin

Bakerboy, I am using stock type electronics (rewired Warlord), yes it is a dual side switch (read a few post back, as I listed all that). Ummm, I haven't decided to do custom work like this for anyone else, as the time it takes to baby a mod like this, no one would pay the amount I need/want.
I am using a stock Trigger frame for this mod too. I will have to mod it a bit but it will be all Tribal!!!
usagi, I have been thinking about a custom Tribal for over a year. I bought a twister body that was pretty messed up, so I felt it would be best to work on a BAD tribal body instead of messing with a good tribal body. Since I designed the new internal Tribal LPR, all I need to do is machine a similar LPR based on that design, so it will be a totally internal LPR on this Mini. :D :D :D Exposing the ram isn't a problem for me because I don't play that Hard!!! or for that matter enough!!! It will be more of a show/play mildly type marker for me. Plus I think it will be COOL seeing the Hammer cycling back and forth!!! No since in putting all this time and effort into a marker just to beat the shit out of it!!! No Tub, I am using the stock grip frame that has to be modified to work. Ummm, new air passage behind the ASA screw...that goes along with the custom designed TILPR. I think a Conquest is smaller than an ASA Tank adapter and a HPR on a Tank.
Andy, I did do the rounding the "Old Fasion" way...basically Cut it off with a hacksaw, then sanded it on a belt sander, then filed it with a fine straight file (very carefully as I want it to look like it was milled). I am actually thinking about machining the angled groove in the back section too. I can do most of it on my manual mill, but it it will be the hardest part of this mini and may be it downfall, if I mess it up!!! Your CNC mill would do a nice job there!!!

A little update!!!
There are still several ways I could do the mini, so I just had to make a decision and go with it.
So here is what I did. I moved the grip frame closer to the ASA and that is where I am mounting the Grip Frame.
http://www.tribal-paintball.com/edwin247/mini4.jpg
That grip frame is just for marking up where everything goes!!! I will be using a 2.2 Grip Frame.
Here is what I did to the frame to make everything work so far, and to start fixing some of the damage from the former owner (Damn Brad :) ).
http://www.tribal-paintball.com/edwin247/mini5.jpg
1) I drilled and taped a new 10-32 front grip frame thread (If your not familiar with Tribals--it's the screw hole close to the ASA adapter).
2) Next I opened up the valve hole and taped it too. This will give me the maximum air flow to the paint!!!
3) I chipped out all of that "fix-a-thread" plastic stuff he used to try to repair the original front grip frame thread.....work still needs to be done here as this hole does protrude into the HP area of the lower bore!!!!
4) I drilled and taped one of the noid hole that was originally 4-40 thread, and I think they tried removing the 4-40 grub and stripped it out, so they tried drilling and messed it up further!!! Hopefully this will fix it!!! It is now 8-32 thread as the hole was too big to tap a 6-32.....so I need to use a BIG as Grub for this plug!!!
5) I decided to drill and tap the long channel that runs LP air from the front to the back to fit a 10-32 thread instead of the normal 8-32. Why??? Ummm, because I needed to retap the back one (as I cut of the back switch part) ground my last 8-32 tap to give me a nice flat bottom tap for #5 (see one up). So the next sixe tap was a 10-32!!!
http://www.tribal-paintball.com/edwin247/mini6.jpg
Well that is the run down for todays work.....
I have to look at where the noid mounts, if I am lucky I might be able to tap a rear 10-32 grip frame screw and not have to make some fancy dancy rear mount rigamarolly thingycabob.

Lookin good, Edwin! I worked on mine as well tonight and so far its turning out fabulous! I just need to round that lower tube in the back to make it look not so boxy. I should make my own thread on it instead of hijacking yours! :D

I don't mind either way. You can post here or you can start your own.
We probably shouldn't make it a competition anyway, as all that is going to do is make us spend more money!!! :D

well i was building one for him, he had me send it to Will when he went to russia.
this was right when Will totaly dissapeared, and i beleive he took the mini with him, never giving it to crazy b. unless somthing has changed, Will screwed me over on over 3k worth of stuff, i have no clue why i even trusted him, should have known better.
it was a blue/black fade lcd mini. He paid 1000 for it to be built, and will got away with 800 of that as well.
on a side note, ask crazy b if he got that addicted from will..... if he did its stolen...from me :O as well as a gray 2.2 bbt, chrome fluster, horizontal fade blue/purple/red fade bbt. and a chrome 2.2 bbt.
If i ever find that Fuck im gonna GUT HIM ALIVE...

Thanks Seawolf,
You know what they say, Time heals all wounds. Maybe not for all of us...... hehehe.
I will give you this....you were instrumental in getting the TOG started. If the mess with *** didn't happen, then we wouldn't have our TOG.

Hahaha, we like to think of it more as a virus that creaped in from Canada!!! :) With the right medicine (the TOG) it was cured. Even though the virus has spread to the TOG, we are still OK, as we now are vacinated and the virus can't do any further harm.
:)
Sidenote: I like Canada. My father was from Canada and his half of my family lives in Canada......

So im the TOG version of Mad Cow?..... or maybe SARS?
Haha!!!
That is the problem with viruses, once you think your rid of them, they pop right back. You can IP ban a virus, but all they have to do is find another ISP and the virus is back.
I think we are better off here on the TOG, and I think KK will agree, so maybe everything is water under the bridge.........well maybe? I can't speak totally for Kaos.
But if you ask me, it is all aboot (hehehe) keeping our Tribals Fresh!!!

how does the bolt keep from flying out the back and making you wear a patch?
usagi_tetsu
05-12-2005, 01:46 PM
Just like in a regular Tribal: the bolt pin attaches the bolt to the hammer. The hammer goes only so far back and stops, which makes the bolt stop as well.

ah, I really doubt edwin went off yours. The little fin or whatever has been around awhile now.
Edwin
05-16-2005, 02:49 PM
I do remember that mephy, but I don't think it was yours when I saw it.
The little fin thing was more of an idea from other markers not yours, but I can't say that your marker didn't aid in my decision. I just wanted as much bolt exposed as possible and to make it look less boxy. I also wanted the hammer area to match.

Just look out for air passages and don't get too close to any bores that air is retained behind. You can effectively cut quite a bit off of a Mephisto body.
