Jackal Machine, one of the little known custom shops out there that still manages to make some really good stuff, offers a $60.00 Tribal milling package, found here (http://www.jackalmachine.com/milling/tribal.html). Yeah, I've been browsing thru their stuff for years, and finally realized what I was looking at.

I didn't know it would work with slots in the bottom tube...

*shrug* Apparently, it will. I believe as long as you avoid the solenoid air passages to the ram, you're more than fine, though the pics that Jackal is showing look like they'd leak like a sieve. I'd ask them, I'm sure they know more about it. Would I slot my lower tube? No, but it's all personal preference when it comes to milling.

Those are just shallow surface cuts so they don't cut into any of the internal air passageways. Hopefully when I get my CNC mill up and running I'll be able to offer some more in depth, 3D milling. But I have to get the damn thing first!

Is Jakal the Jackal at Jackal Machine or they both just like Egyptian Gods?

I remember something about them putting the company up for sale. But I haven't heard anything after that.

I'm assuming not as Jakal reports his location as Florida, and Jackal Machine is in southern Missouri... or, that's what I've always assumed, I could be wrong.

No, I'm not from Jackal Machine.

I heard about it on the MCB forum, and they've been auctioning off quite a bit of stuff on ebay. They're selling off old inventory, especially from the G3 Paintball side of the business.

Yeah, I emailed Terry (owner of G3) last night and worked out a deal for the things I want from them (RDL mini body and 'cocker vert frame for evil micrococker project, and impulse vert frame for twister project), and he said his attention had shifted from paintball to other hobbies. I don't know if Jackal Machine is following G3, but I fear it is, so if you like their stuff, buy it now before it's too late.

I would sure like to get one of those tricked out impluse frame too.... does he have any more that he wants to sell?

Yes, I'm getting one of his Impy frames, along with one of the vert 'cocker frames and an RDL mini body, and it sounded like they had a few left in stock. Email him (terry@g3pb.com I believe, it's on the front page of g3pb.com) and ask him, he should have 'em in black anno or nickel. He cut me a huge discount on my whole package, so I'm guessing he's just trying to unload stock, but I'd say grab 'em up while they're still available.

I have dealt with both Jackal and G3 and had great service from them. Hate to see them go.
