So, I have a twister here that I was planning on turning into a mini tribal with much help from edwin and andy ( :NoWorthy: ) and well, I'm trying to decide if I want to awesome-ize a perfectly good twister, or just find a beat up 2.2 twister that I can use for the base of my mini-tribal? What would you guys do?
On that note, if anyone has a beat up 2.2 twister, for cheap, and that needs a bunch of TLC, I might be interested.
On a side note, I have no idea why I'm worring about this right now, money might be getting tight really soon for me b/c of a lack of a job.

Well for money's sake, it would be much easier to throw the Twister together as is, and then worry about the project later on down the road when you're financially able to do so. Or you could just slowly peice together the Twister right now (and awesomeize it, mini, etc) with whatever you can scrape together.

Fuck that, I'm going to do a mini tribal. Its not really even costing more than it would normally. The main difference being I'll have to get a maddman valve, and later an anno so the cut/bare parts aren't exposed to the elements.
I'm even getting some money flow in a week. A dude at school is buying my imp and fiber crossfire tank for 500, and then I'm selling him a glad and a steel crossfire tank for like 75 for a friend of his.
If anything, I can cut costs and just use a steel nitro tank instead of a 200 fiber one... Money isn't going to be a huge issue really. Its not like I'll be playing much (if at all) over summer anymore.
So yeah, shall I destroy a perfectly good twister, or let some other kid out there buy it and I just find a beat up twister and fix er up?

Sounds like I am too late for an opinion, but here is my 0.02 anyway:
Build the Twister so you will have a Tribal to play with, and get another Twister to convert to a mini as a side project as it is going to be a slow process to finish!!!!!

The thing its going to cost a bunch of money just to get it up and running. I mean, I need a barrel, reg, detent, lprc, etc for either marker mini or not. So I figure, since I won't really be playing over the summer, time doesn't really matter. I have bigger things to worry about.
I have no problem selling this twister to someone who wants a twister in really condition, I just have a problem with hacking it up, even if it is for the better lol.

Actually, I was thinking, andy... this might be something you might have a fun time with... Think a totally milled down/smooth tribal, mini'd. I'm thinking it would look something like a venom bushmaster... I know it'd be a lot of programming thou, but if you save it, you can do it for a service, think about it, I'm sure people would want to let you hack up their mephy, bbt, or even twister, to mill off the most of the metal, and I'd volenteer my mephisto ;)

I think Rich did one like that. It wouldn't be all that much work once I get everything set up with my CNC mill. That would definitely look cool though.

Yeah, see how much we could mill off. I'd have to sell my lpr adapter and lpr, buy a custom lprc from edwin, buy another mephy and swap frames though and ace the other one, cause you did the whole little eye cover anchor on my mephy, so if I moved the frame then there would be little gaps on teh side. Then grab a maddman valve, and and yeah, have you do all the milling. I mean, I wonder how thick the walls of the marker would have to be... Hrmmmm
I'm actually thinking I'll just keep my mephy, cause well, its always been there, and I think if andy, if you are up for the extensive milling and mini'ing on it, I might buy a mephy from you, and I'd be up for this milling/mini'ing of my mephisto, and I'd just sell my twister, let someone else out there who wants a tribal use it.

I'll see how Seawolf's turns out (his is more of a test gun for the CNC) and then we can go from there. I'd like to get into more complex milling like 3d stuff you see on markers out now.

Thats coo. I'm still trying to figure out wtf to do, and if I want to go through with it, or just keep the mephy how it is, or something. You take your sweet time and figure out your cnc. My business isn't really important, and if anything I may end up selling everything anyways.
