Would Spyder valves work on Tribals???
I just happend to look at this from another thread, and was curious:
CLICK HERE TO SEE AN EX. SPYDER VALVE (http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=v5S9MoDNqIe98MJRWXJ9mooEwVxBxi9izuE=?Pro ductID=8UasFAY7sIYAAAD8i%2eOLdoWL)

???? would it get air flow?? has anyone tried this??

I think Bushies are the closest. The Tribal Rocket valve is a variation of the Bushy valve with a smaller OD (At least that is what I heard).

It would be nice to look at that valve, as I am thinking about new valves since we don't have anyone making them now.....

I think they are slightly too big.

so lemme get this right:
spyder valves -- dont fit tribals- too small
bushy valves -- dont fit tribals- too big
tribal valve -- do fit tribals- just right???

so your saying that tribals valves fit tribals??
makes sense to me! :cheer3:

That may be right.

Maybe Kaos, Warped, or HaveBlue has more info. I never actually measured any other valves.

From the one I have here, it looks like if you were to turn the valve down a little it would fit fine (might need to mess with the oring groove also). But the hole placement looks the same..

If anyone has spare bushy valves, I would love to take a look at them. Aftermarket styles would be great also.

yeah I was the one who tried bushy valves in tribals awhile ago, neither the stock nor Vapor valve worked. However, it was VERY close. The difference in diameter between the bushy and tribal valves wasn't even visible to me when they were side by side. You may be able to sand and polish a bushy valve a bit to get it small enough. It wouldnt take much, I'm sure many of the ppl here could do it.

Edwin I may be able to part with my stock bushy valve, since I have a second aftermarket valve on the way right now and I really dont need 3 valves. I'll let you know.

I would be glad to look at any bushy valves you have, and aftermarker would be nice to. I could return them after I look at them.

Edwin-

I have a spare stock valve that I can lend you if you want. Just send me an email to amcfall@a2t.com if you want to check it out. I am 99% sure that simply turning them down will do the trick, but I already made one from scratch so I'm not real inclined to try.

bushy valves, em1 valves, and tribal valves all interchange, if you machine the back for the valve dampner (the tribal was designed with a dampner, it isnt an add on option, lol )
the gold valve i originaly made for the em1/bushy, but can cut down the area in back for a tribal, the od is the same, just mac dev has a tendency to make the valves a bit tight. even the red valves are a bit tighter then stock.
