Alright, my thoughts were(and i'm sure I may not be the first one to think of it) to put a gauge on the LPC of your gun!!
You could check the pressure of the AOC or LPR without having to take anything apart. Heres a couple of ideas:

Could it work?? I dont see why not... has anyone tried it here on the TOG?

if it's mounted on the end you'd have to look down the barrel to see the pressure...

yeah you want to mount it on the end baker lol

just make sure you have your mask on when ou check it lol especially with one of those twitchy triggers if ya know what i mean lol

on the side though would be a good idea

i was going to whip up some extra aoc guages by taping some stock aoc caps and putting guages on them but it would be a mute point if you had a set up like that

i think it is a good idea

Yes it can be done, but you will have to be careful, as I tried to make the Chamber as large as possible so there might not be a lot of "meat" for the threads. There is a real good chance that you will be ok, but I would recomend Blue Loctite instead of Teflon. You can try teflon first and if its is ok then great. Make sure if you only have 2-3 threads that you don't strip it, and it is pretty much ruined once it is stripped.

I have done it but I never left it there.

The AOC gauge is where I got the idea for the LPC for AOC. Basically the LPC for AOC is just an extended AOC gauge without the gauge thread.

Edwin, thats the first thing I thoguht of when it occured to me- whether there would be enough material to do it.. Did your's come out ok? did you test them??
IS there enough material on the side??

And yeah, just make sure you dont have paint in the gun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .... DUH!!!!..... :rotf2:

anyway, I might try it, just need to get my hands on a tapping set.
How would you hold it in place to drill it out? I'd most likely be useing a drill press, when and IF i do it?

a good way to go about it since round stuff is always a pain to drill would be to do the following

1 get a small square chunk of wood that has atleast 1/8 onch on either side if you set the lpc in the center
2 take a spade bit the same size as the lpc and run it through the center of the wood
3 throw that cunk of wood on a bandsaw and split that chunk of wood in half

now you can just simply set the lpc on it then put the top half on and use some quick clamps on your drill press table to hold it down.

that little 1/16 of an inch you took out of it with the band saw gives it just enough to clamp down on it so it doesn't move and doesn't damage it and the wood just gives ya some meat to go through it nice and slow

basically you just made a jig for taping holes in a round object out of a cheep piece of wood

The ideal way to do it would be to use a lathe, but yes, I've used the wood clamp method before.

I use a lathe, but there are other ways too.

I like the lathe because you will get a straight drill and tap.

You could actually do it by hand if you use several bits and work your way up to the bit for the tap.

I can't tell you if you have enough meat...best thing to do is measure the overall length from the outside and stick a pointed object (pencil) down the inside and subtract the two numbers. Remember it is a drill point on the inside so you will have more meat to tap then the subtraction gives you.
