Chi-town Open, I'm back!

I told ya'll I check out stuff at Chitown 05.

Defiant 2 = omg light! Very small, felt good in my hands.

Ego = again, light, and very nice feeling.

dmc = nice, but nothing special, same as the dm5 basically, the proto beating both of them everywhere except in looks (imo)

Dye c4's and c5's crap as far as actual padding goes. Same with empire stuff, how they call those knee pads is beyond me.

Proto stuff = fairly nice

Keely = not very hot in person

Coaching from the sidelines = lame

Almost no one ever making it to the 50 otb, or even the 40 or 30 for that matter, games all in all not very exciting except for when crazy stuff starts happening.

Me = new owner of a 89/90? Bud Orr Sniper, given to me by my uncle who used to play back in the day untill 92 when cheating started to ruin the game.

JT 05 Pants = all colors and sizes there. Not bad pants at all. Padding was pretty good, shame if you get your size the knee pad always below your knee. Friend picked up a blue pair, pretty nifty.

Empire had a good deal for $60 the 04 pants, jersey, and gloves. They didn't have my size, limited selection of gloves too. Their other stuff, react, grindz, and invert didn't impress. The gloves don't protect your hands very well as far as giving you bounces or taking away the pain, thin. Pant knee pads like barely padded...

Legacy was playing fairly well. That Kenny dude is OMG small, kept getting shot thou.

I saw a few HK supporters around. (I'm not one, so don't ask)

Cheating wasn't as bad as I thought it was, having spectators screaming at the refs to check people actually helps. Still ppl sliding off hits and rubbing thier bunker.

I didn't follow the scores well thou, at all really lol. Got some Russian Legion vids, then some notorious (sp?) vs some dudes, a Tippman effect game (not a bad team at all) then a Strange game partially. Maybe another game or 2, but will get vids of all those posted on putfile or something.

OMG was it hot out, 95+ like 100 at times... HOT AS BALLS!

I figure you guys would like to hear about everything.

Met up with Jake, after one of their games (caught on tape too, its a loss, but whatever) cool guy, tall, soft spoken (hungover? drunk maybe?) didn't talk for long, me and my friend were dying out in the heat, I felt bad for all the players, it must have been torture.

As is I, back from chi-town. Probaly one of the most fun I have ever had at a tournament. And I think my entire team concurrs. Stories and such to come later(they are good, including a strip club, as well as a pro team being jealous of us).

And yes, I was not at my best when meeting you. I was pretty much sober at the time, but we just lost our first game of the day, and was alittle dissapointed.

Oh and if you would have watched our next game, I hit the 50 X, and lived for a bit.

And yeah, I have a hard time finding anyone who smokes hot... She is "airbrushed" as you said, maybe its just me though, she's hot, but not as amazing as some people make her out to be. And yes, I'd "tag" her too. On and off the feild...

I wished I had stayed longer, I wanted to watch another game, but it was just too hot, we got there at 8... and 6 hours out in the sun will do that too you.

Good to hear you made it to the 50, I would of liked to of got that on video too, it seemed like every team was playing super defensive, bore'ing to watch IMO.

Good to hear you were sober, kinda afraid there, your slide was what made me suspect there were still effects going on.

All in all, it was a blast. I never found scheduals that were totally right (like it said Amok was playing earlier than the game we watched.) and never knew when the pro's and d1, d2, and d3 teams were playing really.

It was my first major tourny I ever attended, and it was very cool.

On another note, the Bob Long techs were very nice. Fixed my friends Russian legion timmy with the new flash (124.7 iirc) for free, cause its was glitching (the old software that is)

Also, everyone on Jakes team was very tall, I felt really short lol... We also got a cool pic of them all walking away, as well as their first game vid, which once I get I shall post.

Get those pics up and vid. And I think we did the math, we proably are the tallest, heavest, and oldest team there.
And as for staying since 8, HA. I think Ill post the stories later tonight. And how did you not like my slide? Just because my gun went off a couple times mid run, while I was holding it by the back, and again shooting when I tried to pull up, again holding it by the back, made you think I was drunk? Ill have you know, I over slid every bunker I tried to slide into in chi-town.

It was like you almost fell forward... weird slide imo lol. And everyone overslid, except RL players(they're beasts). Oversliding was quite common I have to say. :D

Ah, now time for the long read. What all went down in chi-town.


Well we were planning on leaving on thursday morning and getting there at 3 or 4. Well our D-3 team wanted to get there early and watch NXL, so I said I would take them early in the morning at 3 to catch the 9 legoin and american game.
Wenesday, I ask if they want to get a cheap hotel room in chicago and leave wenesday night. They said yes. So we started calling people we knew were down there. Found out one Xball team didnt have any pit crew or coach for their first game. We ended up getting a free room for the night.
(Note: when traveling with 16-18 year olds, they DO NOT SLEEP even at 10 or 11 at night) I almost felt like a parent telling them to shut up. Anyways, we get there at like 1 and crash for free.
We wake up and go and coach them, wait, we?? NO I couch them. Thats right couch JAKESAK. We lost. We then walk around to kill time. Finally we get a call from my team and ask where they are; stuck in traffic. We call 2 hours later, they moved 10 feet.
They got there at 6 or so, after us being there since 7. We register and get out passes and such. We then hit up the beer tent. Fake id worked like a charm and we paid $3 per 16oz beer.
Well we meet up with the head ref of the feild we reffed in Orlando. He introduces us to Chops. He takes pictures for PSP and his own site. We get our pictures taken just chillin in the tent with tons of cups left over. He tells us of a strip bar we should hit up and gives us his phone number to call.
We end up talking to the manger/owner of the tent and ask if we could reserve a table INSIDE the beer tent for staging tomorrow, he said as long as we buy some beer, no problem.
We head to the hotel room and crash in there, then we go to outback, only to find out they are closed, then TGIF, again closed. Then we spot some neon lights and cruse over. We walk into Sam's and are found with a bouncer that about my size, mind you the rest of the guys are bigger, one way or another, than me. He says they dont take out of state IDs. We just say for the people behind to get in, and we will talk. Then he says that we cant come in because one guy has a "Misfits" cut off shirt, so I give him my xl under shirt. He is a 2 or even 3x guy. Well we get in some how and my Fake works again. We drink and drink, then 3 guys leave. So it is me and the captain left and we start dancing and all that fun stuff. We end up driving back and crashing hard.
We had games in the morning so we got up at 630 and make it to the feild with our d-3 team. We ened up 3-1 with Chops taking pictures of of all the time.
We end but back at the beer tent at the end of the day. At our RESEVED table, we didnt use it for staging though. And we meet up with Chops and buy beer all around. Chris Reahl was there, Rosie and the Face Full guy. Needless to say, we were the beer tent. At one point Chops/Choppa said he told Dynasty that we had a reserved table inside the tent, and they were pissed. More pictures were taken. We ended up saying that Choppa could sty at our place.(He has never paid for a hotel room, he always crashes at someones). we get back to the hotl room, and get showers. Then we head for the Strip club.
Once gettting there my ID worked again(3-0) well, needless to say it was a strip bar, and well strip bar stuff happened AKA $1 drinks, bottles/mixed drinks. We make the 45 min trip back home, and I remeber non of it.
I wake up with our d-3 team, YES I non of the rest of the team at 630 to get them there for their games. But choppa didnt come home with us, so I also have to take his stuff with us.
I ended up dropping off the team and almost passing out in the resgistaion tent on his stuff. Well he finally comes at 11, after I amend my PSP ID card for the proper date. The ID maker was also at the strip bar.

I wake up in the resigration tent, with a nice white skirt with a nice thong behind it. It turns out to be the registation chick, brandi. I keep laying there with a fan on me. Then she comes up to me and says "I hope my ass doesn't sweet, cause you can see right through my skirt." I just laid there, thinking. Then a ref came by and moved the fan and though it was funny, I didnt laugh. And he didnt move it back. Well shoppa shows up and he insist I get a Media Pass. So I get one. I go take pictures with him.
Then it is time for us to play. We lose the first game(Which Cant think caught on tape) then play the next one, where I hit the X and, well, to be frank didnt look when I got hit, though I did look for a ref. We win. We ended up lossing the last game and found out we missed the finals by the last game. We hit the beer tent, at our resreved table.
At the table, Gator Glaze keeps looking at us as well as Poorman, because we are so loud with others coming over. We plan on attending the players party. We go to outback, and fil up our stomachs, and pass straight out.
I have to wake up with the other team cause they made the semis. So I meet up with choppa and take pics. We get to the first game. We take pics then, the other team gets hit in the feedneck. No refs say anything. I tell the ref to check the feedneck, he checks our guy. The other guy shoots our guy, then the refs pull him.(We have pics of it, mind you close to 4 refs in the gernal place of it). He says he has to leave before he gets thrown out.We get out side the net, and it turn to 1 vs 1. Our guy shoots him, 3 teams see it. No ref does. The other guy shoots our guy and hangs the flag. choppa says something to the head ref, and gets told his boss will hear about it. We get kicked off the feild. Our team losses the rest of the games. No finals.
We head home(again with 16-18 year olds) and almost freak out. We make it home, then I have to write 2 papers.
