As we don't have a "general mod" thread I guess I'll ask this here.

I'm planning on moding my Reloader B with an worn lid (wont stay closed) to have a magetic closure like the one on the Reloader 2. As reviewed here:
http://www.warpig.com/paintball/technical/loaders/reloader2/

I've got the Reloader 2 and REALLY like the magnetic lid so do you think that these magnets would be good? If not what do you suggest?

Thanks for the help.

BTW I tried the small rare earth magnets that we generally use for the trigger mods and even with 6 of then they weren't even close to enough.

Thats pretty costly for those small magnets. I usually get mine at www.wondermagnet.com

Here's a link to directly what you're looking for: http://www.wondermagnets.com/cgi-bin/edatcat/WMSstore.pl?user_action=detail&catalogno=0065

That's perfect. Thanks a lot man. I'll get some of those and see how it goes.

On another note...that ferrofluid on the front page is freakin' nuts!

Ouch! The shipping was 3X as much as the cost. :D

Oh well, still a very good deal!

Yeah, better than 13 bucks for 5 of them!

yah, the $2 cost (for 10) and $6 shipping didn't break the bank.

I dont want you to feel ripped off on your deal, but Devin(BunkerzU) got some magnets off ebay really cheap, like 50 of them for around $20 shipped I think.

check em out.

These probably would have been around $16 shipped for 50. They were only $0.20 each but there is a minimum shipping charge.

I wonder if he got the same ones as me. If so, I wonder what he's using them for.

Well, I finally got around to installing them last night and it went perfectly!

In a wonderful coincidence two of the magnets stacked exactly equal the gap between the fully closed lid and the shell. I was really happy to find that out.

With two pairs of the magnets installed the lid will not come open when the hopper is filled with paint, turned upside-down and shaken pretty roughly up and down. I'm really happy with the results.

I'll put up some pictures tonight.

Glad that it worked out for you. Always happy to see other "modders" out there. :)
