I've been having a weird problem with my detents lately. I currently have a Morlock board in my Tribal. If any of you have a Morlock board, you know that when the eyes "see eachother" in eye mode, the board waits 3/4 second and then fires, because it is assuming that you are dry firing. The problem was, it was going in to this mode during the middle of firing w/ a fully working halo. So this made no sense, because that means that it didn't detect a ball, when there clearly was a ball in the breech. So one time I was firing full auto, and it just stopped. I took off the barrel and sure enough the ball was lodged in between the detent and the other side of the breech. So that one wasn't detected by the eyes and the next ball didn't have enough room to fall either. You would think that this is an odd situation and it would rarely happen, but suprisingly it happens pretty often. And also, I know for sure that it isn't "rollback" because I tested it to see if the eyes would detect a ball fully rolled back in to the bolt, and they did.

Has anyone had this problem, or does anyone know a good solution? Maybe the halo is pushing the balls down too hard? I could maybe oil the drive belt inside the halo so it slips when it's pushing too hard. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Your detent is going bad or is too soft. You just need to get a new one.

Do you know anywhere to get a new detent? I thought I remember ASP selling them, but I don't see them on their site anymore.

Macdev Sonic Detents are pretty nice, I know warped is happy with his.

it winds up bieng combination of both......halo and detent.
halo naturally does force the balls in there harder,.... say a revvy or a eggy will not produce the same push.
detents can be to soft and the ball will push right past the detent.... or to hard and sticking right in the middle of detent leaving enough room for a second ball to come down.

Whats nice about ASP's detent is that there is an oring around the screw. You can adjust it in/out without it moving, b/c the Oring holds it in place!!

I was very happy with mine, and I know you will be to!! :razel7:
