noid leaks on 2 guns....

i have brand new lpr's and hpr's on both ...... the noids will work on other guns when i put them on.

i put different working noids on the 2 guns ........ leaking like a siv.

i ve changed out orings , lubed everything, ...still leaks ..... one gun the bolt has air pressure on it and is leaking at the noid (badly) and when you try to fire it will just make a puffing sound.

one the second the same thing.... bolt has air pressure ... leaks at the noid (bad but not as bad as the above gun). but the difference is it will fire just leaking at noid.

any suggestions .....? ive done everything that i know of ......am i missing something? just trying to get a outside view to see if you can think of something i missed.
:Distress: :Help:

Dumb suggestion, and you've probably already tried it but here goes:

Well, what we've done(me and Bunk) is turn your pressure on your LPR down(I gues the HPR too), until it leaks, then crank it up slowly..

Maybe there just set too high?

not a dumb suggestion by any means and i tried that as well......on the gun that will actually cycle and fire , the leak will just get louder and more intense.
on the one that wont cycle and that just make the little puffing sound.....i have the lpr completly off and turn up the hpr and you can here it going to the noid.
very odd as i have never seen a tribal do that before

Try checking to see if the lower tube is dinged up or scarred. Also check to make sure that your LPR is working properly. With the LPR all the way down, there shouldn't be any air at all going to the solenoid (remove the solenoid and gas up to verify).

well i got the one fixed that would only cycle a little puff.......i put the valve in orings well lubed, then put the lpr on with adapter with new orings well lube, then got to the ram it just sorta fell in there ( wtf).
so i toook a piece of thread tape and put a little strip in every one of the oring grooves then put orings on top ... went to put in ....nice and snug (well lubed of course).
made sure gasket was lubed put on noid nice and snug....went to put on air for leaks ... not a one.

hell yeah

went to fire and it just did a little puff (wtf) .....i forgot the regs were all the way down...... so i turned hpr up to 200.00 and started turning up the lpr, wouldnt fire at all up till i here the noid leaking just pop (like a car trying to start but just cant get there) enough to move the bolt but not enough for the ram to engage the valve..turned back down to 90 or so .

damn it ...... i did everything right ....what the hell.

left the regs where they were and forgot to turn the gun off...... well i was looking at the noid and saw a little white button on the bottom..... looked at it and thought of work.
when something overheats , you let it cool down and push the reset button...... for motors and what have you.

remember the gun was on ....i pressed the button and the gun shot ..... when you dont expect it you tend to jump at that first shot.
well let me tell you .... the theory that white people cant jump was proven wrong today.

now works fine and the pressures seem to be just right..... havent got to run paint threw it ....but i got one fixed.

thanks guys

What about ram assembly orings??? I just think that one nick on a oring might interfer with the operation of the ram/noid.

But after a 14 hr day working at my mother's house probably is foggin my mind, and most likely I am dead wrong.

Delerious typing with spelling errors :)

Sounds like hp air is definately getting to the low side.....
If you had a ram gauge you could easily check that (if you don't i have one you can use). I'm guessing one of those o-rings on your lpr is nicked or just not sealing up.

and you would be correct sir..... but not a nick in the oring.

nearest i can tell it has to be the bore of the bottom tube.. everything is fine from the valve back. i had all my problems in the front with the lpr.
i checked a couple of sonic lprs and 3 lpr adapters (2 brand new from blue)....would not seal with brand new correct size orings.

so before i took the gun and threw it threw my window .....i stopped took a deep breath and took a tribal body and just looked at it.
so at this point air is getting threw the hpr and dumping into the lpr air ,...causing it to leak.
i cant use bigger orings so i manipulated the ones i had,so i just took the same orings and put a piece of thread tape underneath each oring and put it back.

sealed right up..... still got to run paint threw it but thats just fine tuning.

hope this helps anybody with the same problems

Was it a re-anodized body or stock ano???

Great to hear you figured it out. I've been following closely in case I run in to this issue at a later date. I don't have quite so many parts as you guys do so I have to live vicariously through your experiences.

On the plus side for me, I have decided I am adding a drill press to my tool collection with my wife's approval. So I will finally be able to drill precise holes for my extensive tap and die kit to take advantage of!!!
