What the hell are you sanding a Tribal for???
Once you expose the Aluminum it will start to oxidize and you will have to keep polishing it to keep it shiny. If you want to remove the Ano, I heard Easy-Off Oven Cleaner will strip it. Try a little Easy-off in a place that can't be seen to test it. Maybe right under the plastic board insulator.
If you want to sand on a Marker, why not sand on one of those Kingmans laying around in your house. At least they can be replaced. :punch:

thats y im sanding on a tribal :D :p
im thinking about sanding the black off.... and then just having it annoed 2 different colors... the flat long part, *first pic, part with stickers* and annoing that 1 color, along witht he part in black.... then the part that it like milled in farther... and above the part with sticker.... doing that another color... same with the grove that goes down the middle of the gun....
oh yeah... and the ducktape were the bolt goes.... thats there to keep any of the aluminum bits from falling down into the gun.... and such...

Ok I see.
If you just want to get the black off, try easy-off.
I never noticed the mill marks where that bad, until these photos.
Hit is with some finer sandpaper too, then you can polish it. Probably 400 Wet Sand then you can polish with a dremel or better yet a real polisher. If you need me to polish it, I can. Just send it to me ready to buff, and I will do it for free. But don't make me do all the disassembly.

You can also take it to an anodizer and ask them to strip it for you - I'd trust this more than the Easy-Off method.

If you're having a company ano it, they'll strip the ano before they ano it (most do for free) so if you're getting it done anyways, do that.
