View Full Version : The Companies of Francois Timeline

I saw a question over in a related thread and thought I'd start a thread so we can trace all the companies that our beloved Francois Louvett has had a hand in over the years.
The ones I know of, in the order my addled brain tends to put them in, are (along with major products):
Toxic Toys (Tribals)
Diamond Labs (Jokers)
Boo-Yah (Boo-Yah e-frames)
3A (barrels and air tanks)
I know Kaos has some more specific knowledge on exact timeline, companies, and products, but I think our bud is deep into moving his family a couple of states over. What about the rest of the Tribe? Edwin? Anyone got a more clear timeline so we have a reference?

You forgot MAKO. Who also made eframes, after BooYah and before 3A.:)

Yeah I'm busy but never too busy for you guys............
Um, Diamond Labs was prior to the Joker/Tribal gig which both fell under a bigger venture called LES Industries. And sandwiched in between Toxic & Boo-Yah was what could have been the first massed produced e-grip blowback (the Urban). Not sure if that was under a different company or not. HB might be able to check since he has one of the few ever produced.

Okay, let's see if I've got this right:
LES Industries
--> Diamond Labs (Jokers)
--> Toxic Toys (Tribals) '96-'98
<something else> (Urban)
Boo-Yah (e-frames)
Mako (e-frames)
3A (barrels and tanks) '03-'05
Anyone else got some dates (or better dates? mine have to be off...) or information?

I believe Tribals were before Jokers. So, for guns, Tribal---->Joker---->Urban.

diamond labs also made aftermarket parts for mags and a few of Brasseagles markers
If I can remember there was a diamond labs grip frame and valve chamber for mags
and a daimond labs trigger for the raptor and rainmaker
and a diamond labs valve for the raptor.

Nope... 100% positive on this because I just happen to be running an online pb shop at the time. Jokers, Tribals then Urban.
Just for shits-n-grins let's see if anyone knows or can guess what the letters "STP" stood for in the "Joker STP".....

Because I saw a press release about Diablos re-introducing the Jokers, so I threw it up here, but then realized it was way old news. Lol

Kicking around on Google, looking for pics of the new Diablo Jokers, I found this (http://exit3.i-55.com/~phenchy/Diablo.html) page that might be showing off the old Diablo Jokers. Anyone wanna verify?

Based on the splash paint job, most likely they are old....does any manufacturer still make the splash paintjobs? I wish they did cause splash was the shit!

Yea I found a press release referring to those Diablo Jokers being re-introduced but that was like 5 years ago. Right now the only markers they sell are the Mongoose, Wrath, and Slayer.

I could see Diablo picking them up as it was pretty much a copy of their "inferno".
Yes, STP= see thru ports. And since you seem to have a few jokers, got any ACE's?? I wouldn't mind having one of those....
And MAKO... yeah, ol Francois left them holding the bag. I believe he ordered a bunch of stuff, had them do it and then never paid or picked it up.(something like that)

Yep, just gotta be fluent in French, have a passport, and enough $$$ to cover a ticket to Paris. His last company, 3A, had a post on a French Better Business Bureau out of one of the Paris suburbs.
